Responsibilities

  • Assist with inpatient consultations and outpatient encounters of transplant patients.
  • Help with the selection of patients suitable and ready for transplant in committee meetings.
  • Assist the transplant program with creating protocols for standardizing care of transplant patients.
  • Establish quality improvement projects in transplant ID, in conjunction with activities of the DOM quality committee.
  • Create a research agenda for transplant ID.
  • Design clinical research studies that focus on immunocompromised patients.
  • Educate students, residents and the upcoming first fellows in transplant ID annually.
  • No research funding necessary.

Job description

The Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking an additional faculty member to support the strategic expansion of transplant services at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix.

Job Duties:

The job duties in this role will be a mix of clinical, programmatic, teaching, quality improvement and research.

  • Participate in the growing transplant ID program, as directed by the transplant ID Medical Director
  • Assist with inpatient consultations and outpatient encounters of transplant patients
  • Help with the selection of patients suitable and ready for transplant in committee meetings
  • Assist the transplant program with creating protocols for standardizing care of transplant patients

Qualifications:
