Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Transplant Financial Coordinator 1 in Dallas to verify transplant coverage and medical benefits, obtain referrals and authorizations, and submit medical records to insurance for prior authorizations.

The role requires coordinating with patients, insurance companies, and physicians to ensure accurate and timely transplant-related financial processes. A relevant associate degree or 2 years of experience is expected, with on-going collaboration across teams.

• EDUCATION - Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
• EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience

Responsibilities

• Obtains and submits medical records, provided by the Transplant clinical team, to the patient's insurance company, as requested.
• Follows up with insurance companies to ensure timely review of patient cases.
• Initiates requests for contracts, letters of agreement, and single case agreements when necessary.
• Participates in patient orientation classes to educate on the transplant financial review process, including financial obligations and resources for patients who do not meet financial guidelines.
