UVA Health is seeking a Transplant Financial Coordinator to guide patients through insurance coverage, financial planning, and authorization requirements for transplantation. You will join a patient-focused team dedicated to accessible care and coordinated outcomes.

In this role, you will coordinate authorizations, review coverage, and develop individualized financial plans, supporting patients and the transplant team through a high-priority process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 2+ years in healthcare insurance, patient access, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to analyze coverage and assist with financial planning for patients.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with transplant patients and families to discuss insurance coverage and next steps.
• Developing individualized financial plans to navigate the transplant process.
• Coordinating transplant request authorizations and following issues through resolution.
• Reviewing insurance information for accuracy and identifying potential coverage barriers.
• Partnering with clinical, administrative, and payer contacts to move patient cases forward.
• Managing multiple time-sensitive priorities with clear, professional documentation.
• Providing compassionate, patient-centered support during a complex healthcare journey.
