UVA Health is seeking a Transplant Financial Coordinator to guide patients through insurance coverage, financial planning, and authorization requirements in the transplant journey. This full-time role is onsite with some work-from-home flexibility, joining a patient-focused team.

You will meet patients from their first visit, develop individualized financial plans, coordinate authorizations, verify insurance details, and collaborate with clinical and payer contacts to keep cases moving forward.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
• Liscensure: None required.

Responsibilities

• Meet patients to discuss insurance coverage and financial expectations.
• Develop individualized financial plans to navigate the transplant process.
• Coordinate transplant request authorizations and track resolutions.
• Review insurance information for accuracy and barriers.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and payer contacts to move cases forward.
• Maintain clear, professional documentation and patient-centered communication.
