The University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a Clinical Transplant Coordinator to coordinate patient care across the transplant continuum on a multidisciplinary team. You will support pre- and post-transplant care, ensuring outcomes, satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness while aligning with regulatory standards.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, MD RN license, 3 years of RN experience with critical care or 2 years bedside, and certification (CCTC or BMTCN) within 2
Provides and coordinates patient care across all phases of the transplant continuum. Serves as a fully effective member of the multidisciplinary transplant team. Provides the full range of professional practice in the delivery of patient care and in participation of the development of strategies to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction with service, and cost effectiveness. Accountable to patients and families for the processes and outcomes of care during the pre- and post-transplant phase of care.
Required Bachelor's degree 3 years RN experience required with 1-year previous experience in critical care or 2 years adult applicable bedside nursing. RN licensure in the state of Maryland, Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) or Blood & Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN) required within 2 years of hire date. Active BLS certification
CCTC or BMTCN
Demonstrates awareness of performance standards required by regulatory bodies. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of transplant regulatory policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of the principles of ethical practice and have resources available to evaluate the merits, risks, and social concerns of transplantation.
