The role evaluates organ and tissue donor referrals for suitability in accordance with LNH, OPTN/UNOS, AOPO, CDC, and other regulatory guidelines, ensuring timely and efficient organ allocation and maximizing donor utilization. It conducts comprehensive donor assessments, including medical and social history review, hemodynamic evaluation, and physiological management to optimize organ function, while recognizing brain-death sequelae and identifying risk factors. The position also manages the full donation process by preserving organs and tissues to national standards, coordinating logistics and communication with transplant centers and hospital teams, supporting next-of-kin with sensitivity during donation decisions, and completing accurate and timely donor EMR documentation. Additionally, it provides training and mentorship by modeling advanced clinical practice, guiding new staff in competencies, and demonstrating strong leadership, communication, ethical decision-making, and critical-thinking skills.
The salary range displayed represents the national base salary range for this position and is provided in good faith to support pay transparency. For positions located in designated higher-cost labor markets, a geographic pay adjustment may apply above the posted range for eligible positions according to LifeNet Health's current policy. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as work location, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. Total compensation may also include bonuses, benefits, and other rewards that are not reflected in the posted salary range.
