Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead the outpatient Transplant Department. You will oversee daily clinic operations, coordinate cross-functional workflows, and promote safe, patient-centered care across the transplant continuum.

The role requires a Connecticut RN license, 5+ years nursing experience (3+ in management), and a preference for a master's degree and transplant/leadership certification.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut Registered Nurse license required.
• Five or more years of progressive nursing experience, ambulatory/outpatient preferred.
• Minimum 3 years relevant management experience.
• Master's degree preferred; certification in transplantation or leadership preferred.
• CPR certification preferred; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily operations of the outpatient transplant clinic to ensure safe, efficient and patient-centered care.
• Coordinate clinical workflows across pre-transplant evaluation, post-transplant follow-up and specialty transplant services.
• Monitor patient throughput, clinic capacity, access, scheduling efficiency and resource utilization.
• Develop and implement standardized clinical workflows and operational processes to improve quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with physicians, transplant coordinators, APNs, pharmacy, social work, and ancillary departments to ensure seamless care.
• Participate in leadership meetings to evaluate program performance and priorities.
