Avera Transplant Institute in Rapid City, SD is hiring a Medical Assistant to support the Transplant Coordinator in referral, evaluation, listing, and post-transplant activities. You will triage patient and provider communications, schedule tests, and maintain transplant records in the database systems.

The role requires coordinating with insurance for authorizations, assisting with patient education, and providing front desk support in a fast-paced multidisciplinary clinic.

Qualificações

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or CMA or RMA or NCMA upon hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work the hours specified and adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Transplant Coordinator with referrals, evaluations, waitlist and post-transplant activities.
• Triage high-volume calls and schedule appointments/tests; notify patients.
• Enter outside labs into the transplant database and track results.
• Maintain transplant records in OTTR, Expanse, and related systems; prepare packets for meetings.
• Coordinate patient referrals and information with insurance for authorizations.
• Provide patient reception and clerical support; assist with discharge and follow-up scheduling.
