Avera Cancer Institute Hematology, Transplant and Cellular Therapy clinic in Sioux Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care, coordinate visits, and assist with procedures. You will document care, triage calls, and help maintain exam rooms and lab processes in a fast-paced oncology setting.

The role requires CMA/CCMA/RMA NCMA certifications or equivalent, strong communication, and clinical skills. This is a full patient care position with day shifts and on-site duties.

Formación

• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Ability to hear and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in patient care as directed by the provider.
• Document procedures accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain timely flow of patients.
• Instruct patients on sample collection, tests, and health education.
• Greet patients and conduct clinical interviews, collecting history and vitals.
• Label and process lab specimens per procedures.
• Maintain exam room supplies and cleanliness; handle bio-hazardous waste per policy.
• Provide back-up support for front desk tasks like scheduling.
