Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore is seeking an experienced RN to coordinate transplant patient care across all phases of the transplant continuum. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required with RN licensure in Maryland.
• At least 3 years RN experience; critical care background preferred.
• Must hold or obtain BLS certification within required timeframe.
• Certification as CCTC or BMTCN preferred within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates care delivery of transplant patients across all phases.
• Designs pre-transplant procedures and diagnostic testing for evaluation.
• Schedules post-transplant procedures, testing and clinic visits as needed.
• Collects and reports data on patient health status and outcomes.
• Provides information to OPO and transplant surgeon for matching organs.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
