Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking an administrative professional to support the Transplant program. You will coordinate patient care activities, relay information to patients, referring physicians, labs and insurers, and assist with outside lab documentation and reporting of abnormal results.

You will also help collect program data and prepare monthly departmental reports, maintain statistics in the database, and coordinate quality assurance projects within a busy transplant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2–5 years of secretarial/administrative experience.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Prefer knowledge of Access, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the coordination and continuity of patient care for Transplant patients.
• Provide clinical information to patients, referring doctors, labs and insurance carriers.
• Assist with outside lab documentation in patient charts and reporting abnormal results to the appropriate coordinator.
• Assist in program data collection and production of monthly departmental reports.
• Maintain program statistics by using database systems and maintaining records.
• Coordinate departmental quality assurance projects.
