Job summary

Moss Bros. Auto Group in Southern California is seeking a skilled Transmission Technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild transmissions across manual and automatic systems.

You’ll use advanced diagnostic tools and collaborate with service advisors to ensure accurate estimates and timely repairs. This full-time role offers a pay range of $5,000–$10,000 per month plus benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and employee vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dedicated transmission repair experience.
• Advanced mechanical knowledge of transmission systems (including CVT, automatic, and dual-clutch)
• Skilled in diagnosing drivetrain, clutch, and torque converter issues
• Proficiency in electronic diagnostic equipment and transmission-specific tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and a drive for excellence
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test vehicle drivability, shifting performance, and related systems

• Complete warranty and non-warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety and efficiency

Position: Transmission Technician

Pay Range:$5,000–$10,000/month
