Moss Bros. Auto Group is hiring a Transmission Technician to diagnose, repair, and test manual and automatic transmissions across Southern California locations. You’ll work with service advisors to estimate timelines and ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dedicated transmission repair experience.
• Advanced mechanical knowledge of transmission systems (including CVT, automatic, and dual-clutch).
• Skilled in diagnosing drivetrain, clutch, and torque converter issues.
• Proficiency in electronic diagnostic equipment and transmission-specific tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and a drive for excellence.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on manual and automatic transmissions
• Remove, disassemble, repair, and reassemble transmission units
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify issues
• Inspect and test vehicle drivability, shifting performance, and related systems
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to communicate repair needs, timelines, and estimates
• Complete warranty and non-warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety and efficiency

Position: Transmission Technician

Pay Range:$5,000–$10,000/month
Employment Type:Full-Time
Location:Southern California (Multiple Locations)
