Job summary

WSP is seeking a Transmission Siting and Permitting Project Manager to work from Boston, Chelmsford, Foxboro, MA or Merrimack, NH offices. You will lead siting studies for electric transmission lines, substations, and renewable energy projects in New England and nearby states.

The role requires a strong track record in environmental permitting, leadership, and client development, with travel as needed and a collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing environmental permitting and planning projects in energy-related work.
• Ability to lead mid-level to senior staff with strong QA/QC guidance.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication with stakeholders in New England.
• Experience in preparing proposals and presentations, and price structuring.
• Familiarity with NE state agencies and decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects at various stages and locations.
• Lead project teams for key clients.
• Lead business development and proposal preparation; maintain client relationships.
• Develop public involvement programs; attend public meetings and hearings.
• Serve as a siting and environmental permitting expert.
• Direct routing/siting studies, analyses, and reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, attorneys, planners, permitting and environmental specialists, and real estate experts.
• Mentor staff for growth and development.
• Uphold ethics and adhere to company policies.
