Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Transmission Right of Way Agent Staff SG9 to manage a portfolio of ROW projects in a matrix environment. You will lead planning, scheduling and budgeting, coordinate with legal, asset management, and project managers, and ensure safe, efficient project delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, negotiation with landowners, and the ability to travel up to 25% within the transmission service area.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or associate degree required with 8 years of related experience or High School equivalent with 10 years of related experience.
Experience in real estate, electric transmission or right-of-way preferred; professional licenses encouraged.

Responsibilities

Manage, review and coordinate right-of-way project plans, schedules, budgets, tools and staff.
Assist regional right-of-way team to ensure timely performance.
Ensure auditing requirements around estimating practices and escrow adherence are followed.
Act as expert witness and advise legal counsel on condemnation actions.
Approve vouchers for land and land rights acquisitions and related expenses.
Monitor project cost, quality and timeliness against annual work plans.
Lead and develop teams, foster collaboration, and drive customer satisfaction.
Represent Transmission right-of-way in internal process improvement and external forums.
