Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Transmission Work Management Relay Planner to develop and manage construction and maintenance work plans for substation-related relay projects. The role requires coordinating with field crews, project management, and GRID teams to ensure on-time delivery of capital and O&M work, with travel to site as needed.

The planner will estimate hours, allocate resources, prepare work packages, and monitor progress, while maintaining compliance with safety,

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; 5+ years related experience preferred.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years related experience with High School/GED accepted.
• Strong planning, scheduling and resource coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Scope of work required for each project and assignment.
• Estimate hours and resources needed for execution.
• Identify tools, equipment and permits required.
• Develop construction/maintenance work packages and timelines.
• Coordinate with multiple groups to align schedules and priorities.
• Ensure safety and environmental information is documented and shared.
• Support regulatory compliance and NERC documentation where applicable.
• Travel to project sites to scope, walk-downs and verify requirements.
