The Project Manager 2 will develop and manage customer-focused transmission projects for large-scale clients such as technology centers and industrial facilities requiring power capacity of 20 megawatts and higher. This role takes projects from the select gate phase through conceptual engineering, detailed development, estimation, initial scheduling and prepares for implementation at initiate gate.
Full-time, standard business hours
Hybrid model - 3 days onsite at Charlotte, NC; service territory spans Durham, NC to Clemson, SC region
Occasional field visits during business hours with technology leveraged to reduce field travel
Approximately 10% travel for site field visits within service territory, typically day trips
Standard utility industry PPE required for site visits (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest)
As soon as possible
This position is part of a specialized group handling high-capacity transmission projects. You will work with senior PMs and cross-functional utility teams, gaining hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and deep understanding of electric utility transmission systems. This role offers more technical project management depth than typical PM positions.
