Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Transmission Project Manager in Greenville, SC for a 3-year contract with potential extension. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office weekly, and pays $53.00–$63.00 per hour on a W2 basis with no PTO or benefits included.

The ideal candidate will manage capital construction projects within the Carolinas, coordinating engineers, procurement, and construction teams to meet all milestones.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge to proficiency in project management, decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving; project related work experience; risk management; project leadership; proven collaborative team member.

Responsibilities

• Manage planned and emergent capital construction projects within the Carolinas geographic footprint.
• Lead a project team including design engineers, procurement, construction management and planning personnel, and field crews to deliver milestones on time.
• Maintain accurate cost forecast and schedule throughout the project lifecycle; ensure milestones and deliverables are met on time.
• Oversee multiple White or Green I projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.

Job description

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Transmission Project Managers with our large power and utilities client in Greenville, SC. This is a 3-year contract with a potential for extension. This is a hybrid position - 3 days a week in office.

Pay: $53.00 - $63.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description

• Transmission Project Managers are responsible for managing planned and emergent capital construction projects within the Carolinas geographic footprint.
• Management of these projects requires leading a project team consisting of design engineers, material procurement specialists, construction management and planning personnel and all construction crews associated with the project.
• Primary responsibilities will revolve around maintain an accurate cost forecast and schedule during the entire project lifecycle, and leading the project team to ensure that every milestone and deliverable is completed on time.
• This position is typically retained to manage multiple White or Green I projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Graduation from a two-year college or university.
• Working knowledge of project management principles.
• Working Knowledge to Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving; Project related work experience; Risk Management; Project Leadership; Proven Collaborative Team Member.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university.
• Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification; CMII certificates; Professional Engineer License.
• Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.
• Experience in utility industry.
• Knowledge in construction management.
• The Project Manager I may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management).
