Job summary

Associated Electric Cooperative is seeking a Transmission Services Engineer to evaluate transmission system studies, models, and tariff processes, ensuring reliability and readiness for future demand. You will perform and coordinate technical studies, maintain models, and work with stakeholders to develop practical solutions.

The role requires power systems knowledge, ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering background, and strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering; power systems emphasis preferred.
• Power industry or related engineering experience as per level.
• Understanding of power system analysis and reliability standards.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability studies for interconnections and service requests.
• Build and maintain transmission system models and study databases.
• Analyze study results and recommend network upgrades and operating requirements.
• Support interconnection, load interconnection, and service-requests processes, including coordination.
• Interpret and apply Open Access Tariff and FERC/NERC requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, planning documents, and compliance materials.
• Help develop and improve transmission planning processes and tools.
