Job summary

Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Services Engineer to evaluate transmission system studies, models, and tariff processes, ensuring reliable grid operation and readiness for future demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in electrical engineering with power systems emphasis preferred
• Understanding of power system analysis, transmission planning, and reliability standards
• Experience with interconnection studies and tariff processes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform load flow, short circuit, stability, and other transmission studies for interconnections and service requests.
• Build, maintain, and validate transmission models and study databases.
• Analyze results and recommend network upgrades and operating requirements.
• Support interconnection and transmission service processes, including study coordination and agreements.
• Interpret and apply Open Access Transmission Tariff and related regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and planning documentation for internal and regulatory needs.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of planning processes and tools.
