Job summary

EEPLUS is seeking a Transmission Planning Engineer to perform comprehensive interconnection and planning studies for utility clients across ERCOT and other US ISO/RTO markets. Responsibilities include identifying new transmission solutions, supporting stakeholder reviews, and aiding grid integration of large loads and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Electrical Engineering (power systems or related field).
• One year of experience in power system planning, modeling and grid code compliance studies or related field is preferred.
• Experience with PSS/e, PSCAD-EMTDC, PowerWorld Simulator, ETAP, TSAT and ASPEN Oneliner is preferred.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as R and Python is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission planning studies including interconnection and annual planning studies.
• Perform interconnection studies for electric utility clients and identify grid solutions.
• Support EEPlus team in transmission origination, evaluation and recommendations.
• Support grid integration of large loads and interconnection processes across US ISO/RTOs starting with ERCOT.
• Conduct advanced power system studies like harmonic analysis, TOV, SSR, VRT, voltage flicker.
