Job summary

Associated Electric Coop (AECI) is seeking a Transmission Services Engineer to evaluate and support transmission system studies, models, and tariff processes ensuring grid reliability and readiness for future demand. You’ll combine power system analysis with interconnection support, tariff administration, and coordination with stakeholders to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.

You will perform and coordinate technical studies, maintain accurate models, interpret tariff requirements,

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with power systems emphasis preferred
• Power industry experience depending on level placement
• Understanding of power system analysis, transmission planning, reliability standards
• Strong analytical and technical writing, communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform load flow, short circuit, stability, and other transmission studies for interconnections and service requests
• Build, maintain, and validate transmission models and study databases
• Analyze results and recommend network upgrades and operating requirements
• Support interconnection processes and development of interconnection agreements
• Interpret Open Access Transmission Tariff and related regulatory requirements
• Prepare technical reports and compliance materials for regulatory needs
• Contribute to development and improvement of transmission planning processes and tools
