Job summary

Xcel Energy in Golden, Colorado is hiring a Journeyman Lineman to join our Transmission Lines team. You’ll work on overhead and underground electric transmission systems and may perform live-line operations. Must have a Journeyman Lineman certificate, a valid Class A CDL, and be prepared for after-hours calls.

Starting pay is $65.87/hour with increases to $76.15/hour after training or 120 days, plus comprehensive benefits. External candidates may face testing during the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Lineman Certificate with proof of completion of an Apprenticeship.
• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work with customers on a range of issues.
• Commitment to productive and safe work.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of overhead and underground transmission systems.
• Willingness to perform live line bare hand and helicopter long lining duties.
