Xcel Energy in Lakewood, CO seeks a Journeyman Lineman to perform overhead and underground electric distribution work. The role requires completion of an apprenticeship and Journeyman certification, plus a valid Class A CDL with Medical Cert. Expect after-hours callouts and a strong emphasis on safety.

Candidates must be able to operate line construction vehicles and follow OSHA standards. This full-time position offers competitive benefits and a start rate of $63.95 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL with Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Completed a qualified apprenticeship and Journeyman Lineman certification.
• Knowledge of distribution primary feeder circuits, transformer loading, and fusing practices.
• Experience with electric meter sets and their connections.
• Familiar with PPE and safety rules per OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of lineman classification involving overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• Respond to emergency callouts after hours and weekends.
• Operate line construction and maintenance vehicles safely.
• Follow safety rules and regulations per company policies.
