Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking a Transmission Lineman – C Class to join its Western Kentucky Operations. The position involves climbing poles, setting and stringing wire for electrical lines, and installing transformers and distribution equipment.

Candidates must have 1–2 years of experience and pass background checks. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, current medical examiner card, willingness to work outdoors in all weather, and readiness for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in varied weather.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical line work hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Set and connect transformers and other electrical distribution equipment.
• Respond to work orders for utility disconnections, reconnections, new orders, and other public works service.
• Digs holes and sets poles for electrical lines.
• String wire on new construction or repair lines.
• Maintain tools and equipment and report hazards.
