Job summary

MasTec Utility Services seeks a Transmission Lineman A to assist Journeyman Lineman and Foreman in building and maintaining poles, lines, and equipment for the Transmission team. Based out of Beaufort, SC, you’ll work with crews in a field environment and support the team’s day-to-day needs.

The role requires climbing, grounding knowledge, and the ability to travel with crews up to 100% to Georgia and Florida.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in grounding, dead ending and sagging wire.
• Proficient in climbing structures of wood, steel, poles, and towers.
• Willing to travel 100% with crews to GA/FL.
• Able to work 50+ hours per week.
• Hold a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Transmission structure replacements, wire pulling, new line builds.
• Construct, maintain, or repair transmission lines.
• Install and maintain poles and towers, set up hardware and related materials.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and specialized equipment.
• Identify voltage and understand induced voltage on circuits.
