Job summary

Pike Electric is seeking a safety-focused Foreman to lead a crew in constructing and repairing energized transmission systems from Knoxville, TN. The role involves work on energized and de-energized lines and potential travel to out-of-state sites as required by operations and customer needs.

You will report to the General Foreman and lead pre-job safety briefings, coach junior staff, and ensure project quality and timely completion under demanding weather and physical conditions.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid CDL license required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, and be on-call for outages or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew members and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Oversee project quality and deadlines.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in extreme conditions and at heights; travel to out-of-state sites as needed.
