Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer II for a leading power engineering and infrastructure services firm in Houston, TX. You will support overhead and underground transmission projects from conceptual design through construction, performing calculations and preparing construction packages under senior engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) and EIT certification, with PE licensure pursued.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited university degree in Civil, Electrical, Structural or related engineering field.
EIT certification required or able to obtain shortly after hire.
Progress toward Professional Engineer licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design overhead and underground transmission line projects from 69kV to 765kV.
Perform engineering calculations including structure loading, conductor selection, line ratings, sag and tension, clearance analysis, and foundation loading.
Develop transmission line plans, profiles, staking sheets, drawings, and construction packages.
Coordinate with structural, civil, geotechnical, survey, environmental, permitting, and other disciplines throughout project execution.
Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, design summaries, calculations, and supporting project documentation.
Support field activities including site visits, construction support, field evaluations, and engineering assessments during installation.
