Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks a Drafter - Transmission Line to support design, drafting, and documentation for high-voltage transmission projects. You will contribute to project inception through completion, using 3D design tools, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.

You will work under a Lead Designer, collaborate with engineers, and travel as needed for project execution. A background in drafting for civil/structural or transmission design is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting & Design preferred.
• Experience in drafting disciplines with civil/structural or transmission design background preferred.
• Experience with 3D design software (AutoCAD Inventor, SDS, etc.) preferred.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
• Extensive knowledge of various CAD programs.
• Basic knowledge of major components of transmission lines.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various transmission line projects.
• Utilize 3D design software for transmission line design.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of your work.
• Research information from catalogs, specifications, and standards.
• Learn and use the document management system and suggest improvements.
• Apply corporate engineering practices and standards.
• Identify project risks and propose solutions to the responsible party.
• Travel for short periods as required by projects and assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
