The Transmission Line Design and Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing design, engineering design studies, maintenance and project management activities for existing/new transmission lines above 100kV. This position requires handling multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university required. EIT certification or commitment to actively pursue one in Illinois and/or Missouri required. Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or commitment to actively pursue one in Illinois and/or Missouri required.Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university preferred.
Prior experience with Transmission Line Maintenance and Tower Light Maintenance strongly preferred.
Good analytical, communications and human relations skills required. Must be able to handle multiple assignments/projects with varying completion dates and effectively prioritize. Must be able to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to stay abreast of current design standards and new technologies. Working knowledge of NESC preferred.

$71,100.00 - $172,200.00
* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials.
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
