Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Transmission Line Design Engineer in California. The role supports interconnection, capacity, and reliability improvements, interfacing with civil, substation, and protection engineers. Hybrid work from a remote office and an assigned PG&E work location within the service territory.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, and a CA driver’s license; experience with MicroStation/PLS-CADD/AutoCAD is preferred. Travel up to 10% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with related design drafting experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class C California Driver's License by day 1 of hire.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and adhere to Corporate Safety policy.
• Strive for zero injuries and avoidable incidents.
• Coordinate information for engineering and construction of transmission facilities.
• Prepare electrical transmission design drawings using MicroStation, PLS-CADD, and AutoCAD.
• Create BOMs, conductor studies, reports, and presentations.
• Lead design review meetings with project teams.
• Provide construction administration support to the Responsible Engineer.
• Ensure on-budget, on-time delivery of high-quality design products.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time.
