Job summary

PG&E is seeking a journey-level engineer to lead the engineering and design of more complex projects. You will apply independent judgment, work with project managers, and coordinate with contractors and vendors. Travel to project sites is expected about 20% of the time.

The role is hybrid, with a remote portion and a location within the PG&E Service Territory. Minimum qualifications include a US-accredited Bachelor's in Engineering and 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited curriculum in the US or equivalent
• 3 years of cumulative experience in engineering and design
• Ability to analyze and develop technical studies and reports
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design practices
• Experience with project management is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develops technical studies, reports, and conceptual designs
• Leads engineering and design of complex projects with minimal supervision
• Presents findings to internal teams, contractors, and vendors
• Performs design reviews, walkdowns, and prepares design criteria and documents
• Interprets codes and ensures regulatory compliance
• Supports emergency response and restoration planning
