Lumicity is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer for nationwide US projects. The role is 100% remote, offering hands-on technical leadership while advancing toward Lead/Project Engineer positions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of overhead transmission line experience, strong PLS-CADD skills, and knowledge of NESC/ASCE standards to support major utility projects and engineering packages.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overhead transmission line engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on PLS-CADD experience.
• Knowledge of NESC and ASCE standards; MFAD/L-Pile foundation experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of overhead transmission lines.
• Develop and maintain PLS-CADD models.
• Perform sag-tension analysis and clearance evaluations.
• Complete structure spotting and line optimization.
• Support foundation design and analysis.
• Develop plan & profiles, structure drawings and construction packages.
• Prepare material lists, BOMs and engineering specifications.
• Coordinate with project engineers, designers and utility clients.

About the Opportunity

A growing power engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer to support major overhead transmission projects across the United States.

This opportunity is aimed at an engineer with approximately 5+ years of hands‑on T-Line experience who wants to remain technically involved while progressing toward greater project and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of overhead transmission lines
• Develop and maintain PLS-CADD models
• Perform sag-tension analysis and clearance evaluations
• Complete structure spotting and line optimization
• Perform/support structure analysis using PLS-POLE and/or PLS-TOWER
• Support foundation design and analysis
• Develop plan & profiles, structure drawings and construction packages
• Prepare material lists, BOMs and engineering specifications
• Support greenfield, rebuild, reconductoring and line‑upgrade projects
• Coordinate with project engineers, designers and utility clients

What They’re Looking For

• Approximately 5+ years of overhead transmission line engineering experience
• Strong hands‑on PLS-CADD experience
• PLS-POLE and/or PLS-TOWER experience preferred
• Experience with sag‑tension, clearances and structure spotting
• Knowledge of NESC and applicable ASCE standards
• Foundation experience with MFAD and/or L‑Pile is advantageous
• EIT or PE progression valued
