American Electric Power is seeking a Transmission Line Crew Supervisor to lead field crews in the construction, maintenance, and operation of transmission lines and stations near Cambridge, Ohio. The role emphasizes safety, training, and adherence to company standards, with strong leadership expectations.

The ideal candidate has about five years of related experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to travel extensively.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED.
• Typically 5 years of experience in transmission line construction, maintenance, and operation.
• Demonstrated leadership skills preferred.
• Must have a valid commercial driver's license and be willing to travel and work overtime.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise line crews in the construction, maintenance and operation of transmission lines ensuring safe work rules and practices are being followed.
• Assure the proper and safe use of tools and equipment, and the safety, welfare and training of personnel assigned.
• Procure materials, tools and equipment as required.
• Comply with practices, policies and standards of the Company that apply to transmission line work.
• Maintain good relations with employees and ensure safety to the public regarding Company facilities and operations.
• Attend supervisory, site visit, and work scheduling meetings as required.
• Maintain contacts between assigned functions and other parts of the Company.
• Keep immediate supervisor advised on activities and maintain records and reports as required.
• Perform the duties of a Transmission Line Mechanic-A as required.
• Make effective recommendations for employment, promotion, discipline and discharge of personnel assigned.
