Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• About 5 years of transmission line construction/maintenance experience.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as required.
• Valid CDL and ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of safety rules and transmission standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise line crews in the construction, maintenance and operation of transmission lines.
• Ensure safe use of tools and equipment and provide training to personnel.
• Procure materials, tools and equipment as required.
• Maintain records and reports; attend supervisory and scheduling meetings.
• Make recommendations for employment, promotion, discipline and discharge as needed.
• Perform duties of a Transmission Line Mechanic-A as required.
