Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an Apprentice A Lineman in Alabama to join our transmission line team. You will construct and repair energized and de-energized powerlines, travel to multiple job sites, and report to the Foreman.

The role emphasizes safety and working with high‑voltage equipment in varied outdoor environments. Responsibilities include overhead line work, equipment operation, and readiness for outages or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at different job locations, including out‑of‑state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, emergencies, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair transmission systems with safety as priority.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers and other transmission line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and at heights near energized equipment.
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
