Job summary
The L.E. Myers Co. (L.E. Myers) is seeking a GIS Analyst to develop, maintain, and QC geospatial data for high-voltage transmission line and ROW projects. This role supports the full project lifecycle from preconstruction surveys to as-built deliverables.
Responsibilities include building GIS maps, performing spatial analyses, and coordinating with survey and engineering teams. Knowledge of ArcGIS Pro/AGO is essential; CAD data exchange experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of GIS experience focused on utility/transmission projects.
- Experience with coordinate systems, projections, and datum transformations.
- ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Field Maps for field data collection is preferred.
- GISP certification or ESRI Technical Certification is preferred.
- CAD experience (AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation) for data exchange is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GIS maps and databases for transmission line projects.
- Produce high-quality maps and spatial deliverables for project teams.
- Perform spatial analysis including buffer analyses and land ownership overlays.
- QA/QC geospatial data from multiple sources such as survey, LiDAR, and CAD.
