Job summary

The L.E. Myers Co. is seeking a GIS Analyst to develop, maintain, and QA geospatial data for high‑voltage transmission line projects. You will support preconstruction through as-built deliverables, collaborating with survey, engineering, and ROW teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in utility GIS, strong ArcGIS skills, and CAD data exchange experience. Travel up to 25% and a commitment to data accuracy are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years GIS experience focused on utility/transmission/linear infrastructure projects.
• Experience with coordinate systems, projections, and datum transformations.
• Preferred: EPC/utility contractor GIS background and ESRI Certification
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Online and Field Maps for field data collection
• CAD data exchange experience (AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain GIS maps and databases for transmission line construction projects.
• Produce high-quality maps, exhibits, and spatial deliverables for internal/external teams.
• Perform spatial analysis including buffers, route comparisons, and land ownership overlays.
• QA/QC geospatial data from multiple sources (survey, LiDAR, imagery, CAD).
• Coordinate field data integration with design drawings and project milestones.
• Assist with as-built documentation and final record mapping.
