Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Transmission GIS Specialist to maintain and enhance Asset Management and GIS data, ensuring data quality and reliability. The role includes training staff on work management systems, GIS tools, and ESRI software for map production and QA/QC.

Ideal candidates will have a GIS degree or equivalent experience with data manipulation, SQL, and PowerBI, plus the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced utility environment.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and manipulating data.
• Experience with Asset Management Database (STOMP) preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the Asset Management DB and GIS data for 11,000+ assets.
• Establish data quality standards and address errors effectively.
• Train Transmission crew and engineers on GIS tools and maintenance workplans.
• Produce reports including FERC Form 1 and Schedule 26.
• Support ITS participants and provide customer service.
