Job summary

Cianbro is seeking an Estimator - Transmission to prepare proposals and estimates for transmission projects in the United States. You will review requests, specifications, and drawings to determine scope, materials, quantities, and costs to estimate bids.

The role requires an engineering degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of transmission estimating, and strong computer skills including HCSS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• Minimum of three years of transmission estimating experience.
• Proficient with scheduling/estimating software (HCSS) and MS Office.
• Conceptual estimating skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a preliminary estimate plan and assess the ability to meet RFP dates.
• Independently identify the scope of work and perform quantity and cost takeoff from RFQ information.
• Review available plans and specifications to ensure the estimate is in compliance with client requirements.
• Perform conceptual estimates when detailed design information is not yet available.
• Work on multiple estimates concurrently.
• Solicit pricing from material vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist the project team by providing technical guidance on project delivery for bids and transitions.
