Job summary

Cianbro is seeking an experienced Transmission Estimator to develop accurate preliminary estimates, assess RFQ feasibility, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors. This role requires strong conceptual estimating skills and solid proficiency with HCSS and MS Office.

Engagement involves multi-estimate management, bid completeness, and seamless handoff to project teams, with emphasis on safety and client compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• Three years minimum transmission estimating experience.
• Strong computer skills including scheduling/estimating software (HCSS) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary estimate plans and assess ability to meet RFp dates.
• Identify scope, perform specificity, quantity, and cost takeoffs from RFQ information.
• Review plans and specs to ensure estimates meet client requirements.
• Provide conceptual estimates when detailed design info is unavailable.
• Coordinate with production team to ensure smooth bid transition.
• Solicit pricing from material vendors and subcontractors.
• Contribute to team on larger estimates and ensure completeness and organization.
• Develop project budgets and monitor changes on proposals.
• Assist in proposal preparation and ensure alignment with financial goals.
