Job summary

Ameren is seeking an Engineer in Illinois to design, program, implement, develop, and maintain a project-oriented database modeling tool and perform model uploads for energy management systems and SCADA, ensuring reliable operations.

The role supports real-time process control computers and related servers on a 24x7 basis, performs software upgrades, and integrates new systems to support control center activities in line with federal, state, and local policy directions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with energy management computer systems or SCADA systems preferred.
• Strong decision-making and communication skills; must pass NERC background checks.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral member of the Technical Support team to maintain real-time process control computers and servers for 24x7 operations.
• Support monitoring, analyzing and dispatching Ameren MO & Ameren IL transmission assets and generation assets as required.
• Implement software upgrades to keep computer systems current.
• Integrate new systems to support ongoing and future control center activities and mandated policies.
• Share off hours support responsibilities to provide 24x7 coverage.
