Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EIT/Designer to conduct and review overhead and underground line designs, including PLS-CADD modeling, calculations, and drawings. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting field and project activities in the Power sector.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's in Engineering, have MS Office skills, and be committed to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and standard Power Market Sector design software.
• Candidate should be local to the area and committed to employee-owned culture.
• EIT certification or progression toward PE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering analyses and develop overhead and underground transmission line design solutions (PLS-CADD models, calculations, drawings, estimates).
• Perform transmission line engineering calculations and studies (structure loading, sag/tension, clearances, line re-rates, foundations).
• Develop and validate designs per NESC, ASCE, IEEE; resolve technical design issues.
• Independently execute portions of projects with moderate complexity, support senior engineers on large projects.
