Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EIT/Designer in North Carolina to design overhead and underground transmission lines, run PLS-CADD models, and support project teams across disciplines. Responsibilities

• Conduct transmission line design analyses and prepare deliverables.
• Perform structure loading, sag/tension, and clearance calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards.
• Independently execute portions of projects and support senior engineers.
• Provide design guidance to Designers and BIM Specialists.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, and project management teams.
• Support scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination.
• Participate in field investigations and on-site construction support.
• Apply engineering judgment to improve reliability, safety, and constructability.
• Perform other related duties.
