Job summary

Arizona Public Service invites applications for a Transmission and Distribution Engineering Intern. This paid, temporary full-time internship spans 10 weeks during the summer, offering mentorship, professional development, site visits, networking, and exposure to utility industry best practices.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting the design, planning, and operation of transmission and distribution systems while working with experienced engineers to modernize electrical infrastructure

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program (undergrad or grad).
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Power systems coursework or related topics preferred.
• Analytical thinker who communicates findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs for transmission and distribution projects.
• Assists in research, studies, and technical reviews with written or oral reports.
• Collaborates with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project goals.
• Learns business/engineering operations and applies learning to tasks.
• Coordinates with teams and supports site visits and field learning.
