Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. seeks an Electric Utility Designer / Project Coordinator to support transmission line projects in Reading, PA.

On-site role with emphasis on design, data entry, and administrative duties, including field data analysis and client coordination. Candidate should have electric utility design or construction project administration experience and be prepared to work in a dynamic environment with responsibilities across design, GIS data analytics, and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 10 years of transmission line design experience.
• Must be organized and able to keep data organized from start to finish on a project.
• Ability to prioritize work on multiple projects and communicate project statuses clearly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and business enterprise software; data entry and reporting skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to pass drug/alcohol tests as required.

Responsibilities

• Update work packages and close out work requests.
• Analyze field data to update design software for proper implementation.
• Communicate with clients and team to determine best engineering solutions.
• Manage project schedule and budget; report status to management.
• Interact with clients on-site and support field and office activities.
• Document project information for accounting and reporting.
