Job summary

Ford’s Purchasing team in Dearborn is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations across global supply chains. You will develop sourcing plans, execute RFQs, and sign commercial agreements to support program targets and on-time vehicle production.

The role emphasizes cost reduction, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration with Product Development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in automotive procurement or supply chain management.
• Willingness to travel and a hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite in Dearborn and 1 remote day.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing plans enabling commercial negotiations and strategic sourcing to support supplier onboard dates.
• Lead RFQ processes, evaluate supplier quotations, and complete commercial agreements.
• Lead cost reduction strategies and supplier partnerships to meet program targets.
• Coordinate with Product Development to understand supply base, technology trends, and supplier metrics.
• Manage supplier negotiations to ensure quality, delivery, cost objectives and risk management.
• Support Quality and Materials, Planning & Logistics in case of shortages or issues.
