Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a postdoctoral Research Fellow for the Translational Omics Program (TOP) and the ORIGIN initiative to turn molecular data into answers for patients with rare and complex disease. This genomics‑first role blends variant interpretation, proteomic signal, and clinical reality.

We welcome candidates with deep genetics/genomics or data science backgrounds who want to grow into the other area, and a real pull toward patient‑focused discovery.

Qualifications

• Depth in one core area (genetics/genomics or data science) with potential to grow into the other.
• Interest in translational, patient-focused discovery and ability to interpret wet-lab and computational findings.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead translational projects within ORIGIN priorities, including diagnosis and therapy.
• Analyze multi-omics data, emphasizing genomics and proteomics to study disease mechanisms.
• Perform ACMG/AMP variant interpretation for rare diseases and healthy screening.
• Build integrated genomic-proteomic models using AI/ML techniques.
• Collaborate with clinicians, genetic counselors, and researchers to advance findings.
• Present results in conferences and publish manuscripts and methods papers.
