Job summary

Tempus AI is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in New York to conduct cutting-edge clinical and genomic cancer research. Embedded as an onsite researcher, you will have access to a vast clinicogenomic database, organoid repository, and collaboration from clinicians, molecular biologists, and data scientists.

The role focuses on applying computational methods to real-world patient data to advance precision medicine, develop independent projects, and contribute to improving patient outcomes in cancer

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or related field OR PhD and/or MD with extensive experience in clinical & translational cancer research
• Demonstrated record of innovative scientific accomplishments with at least one first-author or co-first author key paper in a top journal
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute studies bridging molecular and clinical cancer data
• Enjoy working in a collaborative environment across departments
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in R, Python or other analytical programming language OR desire to acquire analytical skills and link with clinical/translational domain knowledge

Responsibilities

• Study and advance precision oncology using one of the world’s largest clinicogenomic databases
• Apply computational methods to real-world patient data to improve understanding of target cancers
• Develop independent research projects tackling challenging problems in genomic-guided medicine
