Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz in Colorado is seeking an Intermediate Lab Research Professional to support the Core Laboratory of the CTRC Core Laboratory. You will process human specimens, perform assays (ELISA, HPLC/UPLC, RIA), and maintain documentation under supervision.

The role emphasizes semi-independent work with guidance from senior staff. The position requires a BS in a related field and at least 1 year of lab experience, with preferred 4+ years in lab tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of professional level experience that includes working in a lab processing human biological specimens.

Responsibilities

• Handles human specimens including blood, urine, and sputum.
• Master study materials, including protocols, workflows, and essential study documents.
• Perform study-related processes, procedures, and assays as defined in study protocol and compliance with regulating bodies.
• Performs assays using automated chemistry analyzers, HPLC/UPLC, ELISA, and RIA.
• Accurately enters data pertaining to protocols, quality controls, and equipment performance.
• Participates in troubleshooting for equipment and quality control results.
• Writing and following lab manuals and SOPs.
• Maintain and update inventory and database/s.
• Day-to-day administrative tasks for the Core Labs.
